About Us
Our Mission
Santa's Workshop at The Great Place is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing joy to children ages 6 months to 12 years in the Fort Cavazos military community during the holiday season. We focus on supporting active-duty military families facing financial challenges. Operating solely on volunteers, we have a record of serving over 2000 children in 2023. Join us in making a difference in the lives of military families!
Our Vision
Santa's Workshop at The Great Place aims to provide a joyful holiday experience for every child in the Fort Hood military community, regardless of their family's financial circumstances. The organization focuses on expanding its reach and impact each year, ensuring that all children receive gifts and that families feel supported during the holiday season. By cultivating a strong network of dedicated volunteers, Santa's Workshop strives to serve an increasing number of children annually, promoting happiness and fostering a compassionate community.

We believe the holidays should be a time of joy and celebration for all families, including military families facing financial challenges. Our organization provides new toys to children in the Fort Hood military community, spreading cheer and love during the holiday season.
We believe in the power of education to transform lives. Our Education program provides school supplies and resources to children in the Fort Hood military community, empowering the next generation of leaders.
Military families sacrifice so much to serve our country, and we believe it is our duty to support them in any way we can. Our organization's Capacity Building program provides financial assistance and resources to military families facing financial challenges.
At Santa's Workshop at The Great Place, the parents browse our well-stocked shelves to make the most appropriate selection from brand new toys, games and books for their children. This past year we helped over 1,800 Fort Hood children. Have a happy holiday!
